Whilst the rest of the industry is busy figuring out how to evolve performance marketing into brand marketing over the last year, Lydia has been quietly bringing the two together for the best part of two decades. A grafter with a natural disposition for challenging big brand theory to solve real marketing problems, Lydia has been taking traditional brand plans and making them work harder in digital since the start of her career. Her secret weapon is an ability to look up and and out, interrogating the brief to ensure the right questions are being asked to maximise the potential of any activity. Her mantra of ‘no stone left unturned’ means she’s unlocked breakthrough growth for brands including Cinch and Park Holidays through actual integrated brand strategy.
Lydia’s pet peeves are groupthink and cookie-cutter marketing – assuming that industry ‘best practice’ will serve all clients equally just doesn’t cut it with her. From Mediacom to her current role at Journey Further, she loves nothing more than getting her hands on clients who have been previously underserved by an industry that prioritises one size fits all. She continues to go the extra mile to build strategies that make it possible for all brands to discover what, how and where they need to be to win.
